The idea is to designate a person who has been really supportive, showed up at a lot of gigs and tried to bring friends along, helped the band by carrying the stuff, finding gigs, dancing all night to keep MN on stage happy, etc...

The designated fan of the month will received all his entrance fees free for the next month, a voucher for a pint of stella, a MN badge, a photo taken with the band (that the band will later signed) and a MN DVD!!

Isn't that great?

We will announce the best fan for February 2006 later on... Keep checking...

The Medley challenge...

Another challenge that has never been won is the Medley challenge.

This consists simply in recognizing all the parts played in the Medley 1
Of course it's not that easy, you're gonna need a good ear and a good and wide culture...

The Prize for this challenge will be the Medley pack: a voucher for a pint of Stella, a MN badge, a free CD with a selection of the best MN tunes and of course a photo signed by the members of the band.

Emergenza Rock Competition in Belgium

Well, we knew, Fred's family was an artistic one: Fred's dad is sound engineer and musician (you can buy his LP's on ebay!!!), his sister created a music school. And now we can officially add his little brother Maxime who's just passed the first round of the emergenza competition with one of his band. Emergenza is an international music contest for un-signed bands, last year Misses Nice got to the UK final and played at the Astoria 2 in Charing Cross Road, London, where Nico proudly received the prize for Best UK guitar player... I'm gonna try to find out a bit more about Max' band later... So we wish him good luck and hope that he, as well, will go all the way to the final!!!

Well yesterday I had nothing to say. Today it's like there's loads to tell you about Misses Nice. I can't say everything but let me tell you that we've got extremely good news for the band... Plus two new dates have been added in January and one in February And as you might have seen on the home page, John confirmed that the gig on the 4th March for the TKD competition is booked.
So because I'm in a good mood today and that a lot of you love that song, I'm giving you Fucking Windows!!!

Hi everyone,

I realised I haven't written a lot in this section... Well, apart from the gig planned this Saturday, Nico coming at home at some point to finish his demo and Fred organising a jam in Luton and John... (I don't know what's John is doing, I'm sure it's highly interesting.. ;) ), there is not much happening...
So, I'll just take this opportunity to thank all the people who come and visit this multi-blog, some of them daily. Since I put in online in April, almost 3000 people came to visit it, not too bad for us.. my point of view...
Also, we're still giving away free VIP pack to each 1000th person, so hurry up, this time will be about next Tuesday...
Also, thank you to Nathalie who, these past few gigs, picked us up in stratford with all the stuff and drove to the venue. It's a shit job, we're all aware of it, especially with 3 mad guys (and me) in her cute Ford Ka. Hopefully, we can find other solutions for future dates...
Other news? I'm still waiting for confirmation for the 4th March gig near Canterbury for the Taekwon-do (do you know how to write it?) competition. It seems from their website that somene is booked but is it still Misses Nice??? Hope so, it seems pretty cool...

sunday to the final. People came from pretty much
everywhere to see us which was cool. In all honesty
I'm pissed off that so many people didnt come. This
was fucking huge and we needed every single last one
of you, but fuck it. any way. it was good fun and i
got wasted (cheers Karim, you're a geezer).

Hello it wasn't a sunny day

What I'd like to say, its that i knew already that we had not a lot of
chance to win but it was great that we went 'till the final.
Thank you so much for all the people who came to support us, you helped me
all when I was on stage cause I really had the stage fright, when I realised
that my lead was not working and didnt know how to find the right sound with
this amp and the worst was that I could not hear my voice, I was just in
hell could not enjoyed myself like I wanted, I was so nervous, thank you to
the f...... sound engineer.
The most important thing its that you all enjoyed yourself when we played
this small set, maybe the shortiest gig of Misses Nice and the worst for the
sound.
All my thanks are going to Esme, all the Misses Nice fans from Canterbury(I
love you all, specialy Laura for her big smile and Stu for wearing my
hat),Karim, Thierry, Jacques, Magali,Max, My mom, John's mom, Francoise,
Francois, Rico and his girlfriend, Sam(john's girlfriend),Jim, Paul, John
E., Ben, Wesley, Nathalie, Russel, Steve(my favourite) and his girlfriend,
Olivier, Sophie and all the others.
Some people that I really like did not show their ass, shame!!!
So Ok I won the price of the best guitar player, how should I take this? 10
years of practicing and passion and love of this instrument, I was really
proud, the guitar that I won is not so bad a Music man sub 1, she's not bad,
the fretboard is confortable, she's really heavy But I would never change my
Ibanez for this one.
I'm happy that at least Misses Nice won something from the Emergenza
competition 2005, from my opinion most of the band were great that day, this
is from what I remember I was a bit drunk by the end of the competition.
I'm hoping that Misses Nice gonna be huge one day and that you all gonna
following us during the next 20 years.
Thanks to Fred and John they are the Best.

A quick message to say that we didn't get through this round unfortunately, we didn't get enough votes (=we didn't sell enough tickets, =nobody moved his a**), otherwise we would have had a fair chance to win.
And the reason why I'm so confident about it is because Nico won the prize for best UK guitar player!!!!

people are reading this stuff but what the hey. We
really, really, really, really need all of you people
from canterbury, london, watford, norway or wherever
the hell you come from to come to this gig. It's the
UK FINAL! It is without the doubt the most important
thing I have ever done and all the other bands from
around the UK will have their own die-hard fan basses
with them so it is absolutely fucking vital that you
come, you bring some friends, your parents, your dog,
whoever the hell you can and stick your sweaty, rock
and roll drenched hands in the air for misses nice. If
you like us, do it to send us to Germany for the
european final, If you dont like us, do it so that
we'll go to Germany meaning you wont have to put up
with our noise anymore. Either way, HELP SEND US TO
GERMANY!!!
Enough from me now. This is all in your hands now,
there's only so much I can do. I'll be pushing tickets
on yu all as soon as I have them.

Hello everybody

I wanted to say hello. Everything is going quiet lately, we're waiting
for the date for the Emergenza finale, I'm still hoping it will be on
the 24th of July!!!!
For those who, like Nico and, I love Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys,
you might be interested to check www.brianwilson.com to know when he's
touring. You'll see that he begins his European tour on the 22nd of
June, so I'm afraid there won't be any Jam session in Luton like I
wrote previously! Brian is in town and we're gonna sing all our
favourite Beach boys tunes. Can't wait....

tickets as its getin a bit late in the day and we need
to book a coach and shit. No more "give you the money
tommorrow". If you really do like the band then help
us get the recognition you feel we deserve cos a band
is nothing without its fanbase and im pretty sure im
right in saying that you guys are the most kick ass
fanbase i've come across. Im sure the rest of the band

Like last time, I've got some fluorescent bracelets, so don't forget to
collect them before they got on stage
I think it would be nice as well that people have a MissesNice tee
shirt or hat or whatever...
I can do shirts for the girls, for that I need size (if I buy the shirt
my self), colour and colour of the glue. SO don't hesitate to make your
orders. I've got 1 month to do it!!!
